Interview with MIT: Setting Up A Digital Lab To Enhance Active Learning And Increase Student Engagement

MIT as an institute has a long history of being a pioneer in digital education, stretching back as far as 1999, when the first recorded lectures began taking place. Over the years, as video capabilities enhanced and streaming services improved, MIT has evolved their online offerings from simple lecture recordings, to complete online courses – studying how the interactivity of the web can be leveraged to create an active learning experience for students online.

Ahead of the 5th Annual Online and eLearning Summit 2020, we sit down with Jennifer French, MITx Digital Learning Scientist (Mathematics) to understand more about MIT’s Digital Learning Lab and how they are changing learning as we know it.
